Texas issued 123-ABC passenger plates for many years, then reversed the map to ABC-1234 in 2012 as the older space neared exhaustion. The black-on-white Lone Star graphic carries that hyphenated serial. Optional plates (state parks, universities, military) can look completely different and are not this model.
SPR-9932 is the textbook Texas sequential example used throughout this atlas: three letters, four digits, generated — not a looked-up registration.
